Pulp weapon sprues?
« on: November 30, 2013, 02:49:31 PM »
Anybody make a weapon sprue with a Webley-Fosbery?

I suppose I can sculpt one (at 28mm size that's pretty much "Sculpt a larger revolver, only with a zig-zig pattern on the cylinder" unless I want to go full lunatic), but I was curious if there's one out there.

For that matter, does anyone make pulp weapon sprues specifically? Thompsons, Mausers, etc.?

Victory Force supposedly used to have some, but they don't seem to be on the site anymore. Reaper has a sprue of some generic 20th century weapons (two revolvers a shotgun, tompson, some rifles, etc.). Warlord Games have some nation-specific ones (Wehrmacht weapon sprue, US Army weapon sprue, etc.). Nothing especially pulp. Didn't see anything from either Bob Murch or Copplestone.

I joined my gun with pirate swords, and sailed the seas of cyberspace.

They are in the extra bits section of VF's web site. Look under they Choose Hand Feature (CHF) for the Germans or Americans. The drop down menu will give you options for lector right hands.

The VF hand holding the Luger is superb.
It is the best sculpt of a 28mm Luger and I wish I had more of them for conversions.

No one produces a sprue of pulpish handguns that I know of.
We need a sprue of hands holding webleys, Lugers (both regular and artilrry versions), colts, and broomhandle mausers. Hint hint

I have looked at buying wargames factory or warlord ww2 weapon bits as they make hands holding Lugers, m1911a1s, and probably your Webley. I have held off such a purchase for fear that they might not scale well with the artizan or pulp figures that I would be converting.

Reaper has pulp/modern weapon sprues and minis with Thompsons. (Sorry, missed that this was already mentioned among other stuff.) I think I have the 20th century sprues somewhere in my pile. If so, I could possibly get a sharper pic for gun-spotters. Also, many Chronoscope minis come with variant hands in a sprue, carrying revolvers and such.

This doesn't appear to be a weapon sprue though? Looks more like you're buying a figure and choosing what hand comes with it?  Also I don't see any pictures... maybe I'm doing this wrong? I go to say, WWI USA, then to figures, then click on an individual figure and I'm pulling the "choose weapon" dropdown menu.

Amalric has a good idea. I wonder if we can't convince someone to think about it. ;)

Tin-Man makes a Gun Sprue. There isn't a Webley, but there are a few others that may be worth checking out...

Well there's a Mauser in there.  :D

Looks like a sprue meant for The Wild Bunch-era western gaming.   lol

Tin-Man makes a Gun Sprue....

We need a face smack imoticon.
How could I forget this gem?

This sprue is excellent!
Tin Man John is an excellent vendor, sculptor, etc!
I have bought several as the broomhandle is excellent, as is the colt and the rest of the weapons on the sprue.
But lazy me would prefer them to be in a hand ready to add to the wrist, as a wrist joint is easier to pin and glue than trying to lop off a gun handle and stick a pistol on top of a fist convincingly.

I asked John and he's more than happy to add it on if you're already buying into the current Tin Man Kickstarter, even though it's not a listed add-on. I'll pick up two (and I'll probably be getting one of the Reaper sprues too).

I would like to buy hands holding the Luger, the price is $3.50 but shipping is more than $17.50 !
More than 15 euros for 8 hands holding a pistol ... 1 euros every hand and 1 euro every Luger!

Choose here the extra hand held weapons you need to modify your VFM Figures. These are the same choices as the Choose hand feature. Each weapon is held in a hand.

It seems you can buy the hand that held the weapon!
