28mm "Blakes 7"

Cheesy 70s Sci Fi anyone ?

Loved Blakes 7 as a kid and as soon as I saw these fantastic figures I knew they would end up in the collection.

I don't even think the series made it out of the UK but the cheap sets and dodgy effects were brushed aside by the great characters and their ambiguous morals.

Always a struggle for a historical Gamer/ painter like me who is used to working in batches of 6 to 10 Figs at a time. Painting minis in ones always seems a bit weird.

I really enjoyed doing these though and have the bad guys (and girls) of the Federation to paint and then my first go at 7tv will be had.

Well, I remember seeing it in my youth and absolutely loving it. I've recently bought the full series DVD set  and must confess I've rewatched it twice allready.

These look fantastic. Since you're used to painting up troops, the Federation stuff will take no time at all. Looking forward to seeing more.

We were just talking about Blake's 7 yesterday at work. We all remembered it rather fondly. I like the figures and you've made a nice job of painting them.

Very nice work!

Blakes 7 made it to Australia. I have very fond memories of watching it on a late Friday (?)evening slot  on ABC with my father.

Really compelling characters and great plots made it a show we'd spend the week looking forward to.

Must get these miniatures one of these days.

Yeah, I loved it as a kid, but watching the DVDs, apart from the odd weak episode, it was actually much better than I remembered on some levels.

Michka didn't mention, but also fairly well in the US, and I'm pretty sure, a sort of follow on to Dr. Who on public television.

Love the figs, but must have a proper Servalan! I know I used to envision taking her into 'custody.'

On the other hand, when playing Aliens, everyone voices Hudson; I imagine most folks will be speaking 'Orac.'  ;)

Don't worry people, Servalan is due up soon, slight pressure to get her correct

Thank you for all the kind comments and memories of a great show. I watched Season 3 Episode 2 on nights last night
