Pulp Alley - Dinosaurs and Cadillacs
« on: December 07, 2013, 09:14:33 PM »
Pulp Girl and her foe Hook are being chased through the jungle by ravenous beasts. They must get through the jungle or sabotage the other to be out of danger. Hook starts out with the lead and zooms past Pulp Girl.

Hook drives into a ditch and loses control, causing his vehicle to get stuck and damaged (goes down to a d6 Reliability).

Pulp Girl takes her chance to catch up, also driving over the ditch. Her back wheels spin out of control as her car careens to the side, the crashes attracting the ravenous wildlife.

Hook maneuvers his car out of the ditch, speeding away from the crash site. He yells back to Pulp Girl, "Have fun with your new found friends, girl!"

Pulp Girl slams on the gas, the vehicle only throwing out smoke and kicking up dirt as the dinosaurs start to surround the vehicle. Hook looks back to survey the scene as he drives off.

Hook carefully drives around the next corner, not wanting to get his car trapped again.

Pulp Girl dislodges her vehicle with a quick burst of speed and swiftly hurries after Hook, the strange creatures jumping back from the sudden movement before following after the car.

Pulp Girl pursues close behind Hook as he speeds through the jungle brush.

Hook drives around a corner, Pulp Girl coming up on his tail.

Pulp Girl pushes Hook’s vehicle to the side, causing it to crash and flip onto its side. She drives away safely as she calls back, “I hope you have enough ammo Hook!” Hook crawls out of his flipped car, grumbling as he grabs his pistol, ready to fend off anything he might need to.

We just ran through about a dozen or so quick tests of the vehicle rules over the weekend, testing racing, armored cars, shooting at cars, etc . It was really quite fun. I think the vehicle rules are progressing really nicely. :) Dad really wanted us to focus on the vehicle rules and we had lots of fun blasting each others cars to smithereens

Can't wait to get my hands on this supplement. I think it's going to open up a whole new world for Pulp Alley games! And I happen to know a guy that has lots of toy cars!

I see The Stig appears to play Pulp Alley.

I joined my gun with pirate swords, and sailed the seas of cyberspace.

Brilliant!  I'm the guy who Black Smoke knows with the cars and I've got the dinos too so guess what we'll be trying as soon as the Pulp Alley vehicle supplement is out?  I think I'll also be buying more LLedo cars and trucks.  They're the perfect size for 28mm figures and fairly cheap on e-bay.
All the best,
George.

We also had a scenario with a big dinosaur chasing after the vehicles. When there's a hungry dinosaur on your tail you don't want to be the slow car. lol

Glad you liked it. It was lots of fun to play! I'm hoping we can try some motorboats this weekend.  :D

Ooh, motorboats! Hey, from whence did your dinos come? Are they metal or are they plastic toys? The big one seems particularly menacing.
Jane! Stop this crazy thing!

Yup, the big one is just a plastic toy with a quick paint-over. Those mini-t-rex looking things are metal figures from Tin Man. The steggy is another plastic toy. And there are a few 1/35 Tamiya plastic models as well.

THANKS

Okay, I finally broke down and bought some toy cars and trucks (Yes, the Matchbox ones). I would have needed them for terrain anyway...
