Miniature headstones?
« on: June 02, 2008, 12:39:53 AM »
I plan on building a suitably gothic table for Dracula scenarios. I want to make a large graveyard, maybe 2 ft by 2ft. I have the headstone pack from Reaper. I was going to do a company by company search for headstones. Then I thought, who would know better than the folks on this forum. So, who makes 28mm headstones, and thanks in advance?

Just found the ones from Westwind, any others?

Fantascene, Armorcast and Old Crow (Ainsty) all do headstones, graves, monuments, tombs, sarcophagi, etc.

And GW had plastic tombstones with their skellies, but I don't know whether they're in the newly released sprues. Of course you have to get a whole unit of skellies too..

Westwind have a pack and some iron railings for a graveyard wall. They used to do a crypt set as well.

Guess it depends what effect you're after, but when I built my churchyard recently ( http://leadadventureforum.com/index.php?topic=4004.msg42518#msg42518) I found the Fantascene gravestones just too bulky, so went with good old fashioned balsa wood daubed with a bit of Tetrion filler. You can have any shape and size you want!

Good infill between the more gothic creations, if nothing else...

Here are the Westwind iron railings, with gateposts from balsa, card and small wooden balls.
