Knight Rider KITT car
« on: December 17, 2013, 02:21:21 AM »
Heads-up Knight Rider fans; this years Hallmark Ornament series has the KITT car from Knight Rider in the same scale as last year's DeLorean offering.  I picked one up today: the front light illuminates and moves like in the show and it talks.

Side note:  They also have the Griswold family truckster from National Lampoons Christmas Vacation.  It is significantly nicer in person than in this photo.

This is my boomstick!

... in the same scale as last year's DeLorean offering.
And what scale would that be?

Because the rest of the description sounds awesome!

They had a DeLorean out the past few years. They're great for 28-32mm scale, but quite pricey!

Yes.  It fits 28mm quite well.  If I can get camera issues sorted I'll post a comparison pic.  This one cost me $17 US.  I see them on ebay already if you don't have a Hallmark store in your vicinity.

The green car would make a perfect zombies/early post apoc survivor vehicle too  ;)

Complete with the zombified family member lashed to the roof in hopes of a future cure!

I stopped by the Hallmark shop in the nearest mall to check it out. It does look very cool! I could not tell the exact scale, but it looked very similar to other typical die-cast cars, so I would say somewhere in the 1/43 to 1/48 scale range, so yes, it should work fine for 25-28mm minis.

I balked at the $20 price tag, though. My mother has a penchant for picking up these sorts of nostalgic "silly trinkets", so for once I'm hoping she picks it up. :D  Of course, now that there's finally one I would actually want, I'm sure luck will dictate this is exactly the one she'll skip... so maybe next week I'll have to suck it up and get one myself.  lol
