New member, but been lurking for a while. Thought I would share some of the dreck I plan on foisting off on my unsuspecting gaming friends in the near future.

Some light reading?

Very nice. Did you print "sparkle dry cleaning" image or hand paint. It looks great!

Thanks for the kind words, all.  I have enjoyed so many threads here I thought I should try and add something too. Hopefully it will always be something that adds and not detracts.

Beefcake - The sign came on the building when I bought it, its printed but I don't know if the ink will run should I get it wet. I *wish* I could freehand something like that  :)  Eventually I will make some new signage.

Cheers!

If it's post apoc the. It shouldn't matter if the ink runs, it would just give it that worn out look.

Welcome Hacksaw.

That is a fine introduction you have there. I'm keen to keep watching how it proceeds. Dirty Bob 's paintjob looks very smooth. You have picked out the detail in the sculpt very well.

What's the setting for your post apocalyptia?

Cheers
Matt

Looking great, and some nice painting on those EM4 Bikers :). The camo on Dirty Bob is great.

Excellent stuff, I'm gonna check the blog in a second and hope to see that house in a state of completion!

Not quite done, but some progress made over the holiday. Maddeningly slow progress....and my pictures are really substandard.

I really need to get to work on the roof. Slacker, I am.

Cheers

How do you get the worn white painted wood effect ? Drybrush or some kind of wash ?

I've got a Plasticville house lined up and I'm aiming for a similar look. I was thinking of using AK interactive's streaking grime, but I only have the dark one, not the winter type (which should be ideal for white  :?)

I primed it with grey spray paint...added a light coat of darkish grey to cover the spots I missed withe the spray, then did some damp brushing - but mostly stippling - of thinned out white. It goes on very lightly, so just keep adding it wherever you want it to be heavier. Goes pretty quick.

Originally my plan was to use crackle medium, but I had an epic failure and was unable to make that work. Not sure what I did wrong but will keep experimenting.
