Chain of Command VBCW game
« on: December 29, 2013, 11:12:50 PM »
Played another game of Chain of Command today but using Very British Civil War forces this time. I played with my usual VBCW gamer but by the end he didn't seem to be too happy with the rules still preferring Bolt Action.

Nice little AAR. What were the main gripes?

It wasn't as simple as BA basically. Too much randomness and didn't like that it was possible that all the units on the table might not get to do something in a pahse. All points that i really liked about the game :)

Flags.

Looks like a really nice game!

Glad you're enjoying the rules, shame about your pal.  Some people like their toy soldiers to act as automatons rather than real men.  In my experience you are unlikely to convert the player who likes that absolute level of control to rule sets that don't allow that.

Cheers

Rich

 :D

Get yourself over there on the 7th of June.  Wee Derek is organising a Lardy games day and I'll be flying up for a few games and a few beers.  They're a great bunch of lads.  We had a fine craic there this year and I'm sure I'll be running Chain of Command.

Cheers
