Finally finished these for a client. I cheated and used decals for the numbers though so my crappy printer gets all the credit.

OK, but your printer didn't do the paint jobs and the grand bases! Brilliant, best Blood Bowl paintwork I've ever seen (I have to admit a soft spot for hobgobs too)

They're Silflor moss pads (about 2mm long strands I think). I added a few 4mm grass tufts as well here and there.

Hm... I bet a gaming mat covered int hat stuff would be an EXCELLENT compromise between static grass/grass sheets and flock. I wonder if it could be dine somehow (Obviously using the silflor stuff would be prohibitively expensive).
