Impressive adaptation of Chain of Command to a more modern setting!

Well done sir!

Great blog! I am fascinated by the Rhodesian bushwars,I have the figures painted still working on finishing vehicles in 20mm.I have played a set of rules in a miniature mag ,very unsatisfying.Do you recommend Chain of Command over lets say FoF,and is it only suited for skirmish. Also I run a ModernAfrican Bushwars yahoo group, may I put your blog down as a link?It is always good to see how other people game.  http://games.groups.yahoo.com/group/ModernAfricanBushwars

Fine looking game.
I find this period very interesting.
Probably will not game this time period as I have so many other periods to paint.
So I hope I can follow your blog and enjoy the period that way.
Thanks for sharing.

Thanks Gents,

"Do you recommend Chain of Command over lets say FoF,and is it only suited for skirmish".

I haven't played FoF so won't comment on that system. From what I hear for symmetric forces Chain of Command is the better simulation/game. As written CoC is not ideally suited to asymmetric games. This requires another approach in how both sides approach the objectives in a game.. However, suitably adjusted, I believe CoC to be an excellent rule system for 'replicating' this type of warfare.

"Also I run a ModernAfrican Bushwars yahoo group, may I put your blog down as a link?"

Certainly!

 ;)

Great looking game and minis! And a big plus from an interesting choice of subject! Rhodesian Bush War isn't something you hear too much about (at least where I'm from).

I didn't spot it on the blog or here, but which minis do you guys use?

Wow happy wanderer, what a great painting job you have done on those Eureka figures. I couldn't have done better myself ;-)

Now we all need to take a year to pain all the lead we bought at CanCon on the weekend.
