I have read some other rules systems and played a few (though not Power Legion) and I'm pretty much sold on Super System. I liked 2, but love 3 and am looking forward to 4. It "feels" the most like a comic book when I play it. I like the Goalsystem dice because it feels like I'm doing a lot with each figure and the opposed rolls make the game feel dynamic.

As to the character creation, I'm often forced to tell people to just "nut-up" and do it. After the first few, creation is pretty fast unless you want an ECP or Gadget pool. One slow day at work I knocked out 12 characters, it's not hard just requires dedicated time.

Also, the game shines with missions. A straight slugfest is never satisfying to me, but I could say the same of many games.

SuperSystem has missions?  Scenario based or a mechanic similar to Pulp Alley's plot points?  (Those are great.)  I like the sound of it regardless.

Scenario based....one is a roof top fight, another is a raid on a villains lair, protect an innocent from being killed/captured, etc....plus the game is very open ended to make your own scenarios....

Power Legion is limited in that it only has three included scenarios. However I think creating your own should be as easy as picking a story from your favourite comic book and setting up your table.
