Nort  heavy support armour: camo came out well with the blutac technique. As I say little bit of weathering and decals/basing and finished.i've also realised that i haven't painted flesh tones for a very long time so i've been playing around with colours and shading.
Started work on the first genetic infantryman aka helm. Lots of washes and highlights wip.

Pic to follow.

Mocked up souther squad 1. 7 souther troops 1 with a uk scene minigun, the sergeant is a rogue trader army heavy trooper with a pig iron head swap. I'll add rebreather pipes later

These are coming along very nicely. You might have to slow down a bit to let that 'other' Rogue Trooper project catch up!  :D

lol... no  ;D.

Picked up my last souther mini i needed on ebay tonight so that's two complete citadel RT squads and two kurashan squads of eight for my southers. These are going to need some piping and cables added but great proxies. Also got some RT army as Milicom 'milifuzz' (military police).

Although I'm really disappointed that IDW screwed up the Rogue reboot, (canned at four issues unless the trade sells), they're reprinting the original progs in colour,  which is great for me for obvious reasons.

Thankfully no purple norts! ;) (colours matching the reboot colours).

Cheers

Glad to hear you finally got your last man....
Hopefully he wasn't too expensive!

Ooh, I'd love to get the original storyline in colour. I'd looked for the new comic but never saw it.

Generally happier to customise, sculpt and create and appropriate my own minis for this project. So foundry no, wrong scale.  Mongoose only the pillboxes doubt anything else useful will surface.

(This is a explained in the first few posts really).

Cheers

Millicom delivers!!!!

Last souther trooper has dropped in. Squad two is now whole!!!  ;D

will equip him with a support weapon later.

In the meantime i like my troopers faceless so I've filled in all the 'visors' with gs. I was going to ols the faces but this works better for my Nu-earth vision.

Reasonable prices for issues 1-3 on ebay. One thing I've notice though is some of the original panels have been omitted, but it's still nice to see it in colour.

cheers

I might be the odd one out here, but i'm not sure i actually like those newly colored panels...
For me Its a bit like watching " Its a wonderful life' in glorious techni-color. :?

The thing is I still remember reading the first Rogue stories in 2000AD back when i had it delivered every week... I still have the first 600 odd comics stored away, ( and yes, I still have No1 & its space flyer toy.)

I read through an early couple of episodes last night ( yellowed and crispy form 1982 ), and there is something about the quailty of Dave Gibbons artwork that is clean and crisp. He uses the white/empty space SO well...
Seeing it all colored in somehow isn't right for me....

But having said that, still loving what you are doing Mark. Hats off to you!
