You could do the SPI (?) Monster Board Game (Invasion America?) with Russia, France, UK, and Spain invading North America trying to make claims reality and/or  reclaiming "breakaway colonies" just for fun.

Gracias,

Glenn

Aye I reckon it would make for an intersting campiagn in a club we did something similar with the French invasion of Briatin in the Napoleonic wars ;D

Anyone know when these are likely to be released?  I'm crossing the pond for Salute so it would be great if they are available then   :D

Perrys tend to get their metals out quickly, so I would say that the start of this range, which looks like it will grow, will be available.

On average, the twins tend to release their metal figures about four to eight weeks after the greens are previewed on their website. Some packs take longer to see the light of day but Salute being three months from now, I'd say that there's a very good probability these figures will be out by then.

So would these uniforms be similar to what would have been the Home Service dress in 1870?

I too wonder how close this is to Home Service. Gaming British intervention on the continent 1860s and 1870s - and of course, not to forget The Battle of Dorking...

Haha, whether or not they are perfect, I think they might be the closest 28mm figures for gaming Dorking to date? Especially with the shako:

The barstewards! I've been trying to tell myself for years now that I really don't have to start a "what-if" British intervention force for ACW (using Indian Mutiny proxies). Now all the fight's just gone out of that argument....

I will probably wind up getting a few (!) for my New Zealand Wars collection. I notice that they would also be ideal for the China campaigns of 1859 and 1860. Hopefully they will include an Armstrong gun and crew as well :P

The obvious thing to do here is convince the Perry brothers that should there have been a British intervention in the south, they would have worn airpipe helmets. Quick way to update/ replace the Foundry China Wars figures.
