Warbases CAN do them touching. Derek and I got some done like that for our 15mm FIW to depict units in firing line.
Best to draw out exactly what you want on paper, show all measurements. Take a pic and send it to Martin and ask for a sample and a price.
I've just posted a few pics on my blog for you to see one tarted up and with some minis.

Great looking miniatures and basing! Could you share which paints/ methods you have used for the bases? As they look splendid.

Thanks for the kind words - of course I can do a tutorial though my method has developed over the years into a quite laborious one. I'll post one with pics on my blog when I'm next doing some basing, if that's ok.

Really good looking game.

We found BP combats a bit odd, with a small difference in the combat, followed by a poor roll on the rout tests, leading to a routed unit. I think you can add a fair bit of extra complexity without breaking the rules.
