Victory Force has some nice Minis in their Redd Reddan Range,i painted these Guys as Governor's Soldiers for a Battle of the Planet of the Apes Project  :)

Cool, thanks for posting those.

Thanks, guys :)

Should I dare to heavily convert the modern rioters by Offensive Miniatures (trying for some kinda Blanchitsu style -no idea of how to face a project like that-) and combine them with some Mirliton/Copplestone/etc.? Do you know of anyone producing something even remotely close to what I am looking for? I am not scared of converting, but I try not to work idly if there is any obvious solution out there ;).

Firstly those OM figures are beauties so I'd encourage you to try at least one pack.

Possibly consider Ainsty Hooligans? http://ainstycastings.co.uk/index.php/cPath/69/osCsid/055bd1ee39b7a1c0bdd17679726ac751

Also there's plenty of Zombie survivors who are armed with things other than guns, and plenty of viewing and choices there.

You could consider 19th century rioters there are quite a few around.
Perry miniatures:

Or the TVAG gangs of New York B'Hoys
some have a certain Clockwork Orange feel

West Wind have an angry mob too, in the Gothic Horror range.
If you don't believe in lead, you're already dead.

Speaking of Clockwork Orange, you could try the Eavies/Friendsies from Crooked Dice.

I thought I'd better give continuity to this thread instead of opening a new one, as the addition is so tiny.
I decided I wanted a drone for my Arbites. Yup, I know, anything but a servoskull is anathema in 40K. Servoscrew that. A drone, I said. ;D

The main body is made using the plastic One Ring from the Fellowship of the Ring starter box, the rest are just bits from here and there.

Just had to paint it black with yellow stripes, to match the rest of my forces...

Gaming wise I think its purpose will be identifying masses of rioters and stuff like that.

Commissarmoody suggested me to make remote operators, which I think is quite a cool idea. I don't think I have bits for that, but I'll have to do something about it...

You can read about the whole process here:

Wow, it's back!  :D

Nice looking drone and creative use of bits.

And if you're still looking for rioters, in the meantime there have been the Frostgrave releases; both the henchmen and cultists would provide you with plently of convertable bodies that can easily take some 40k weapons or other bits.

Think some cultist bodies with Catachan or even Genestealer Cult heads and some arms and weapons and you're all set! Saying that; a straight genestealer Cult would already provide the perfect antagonists for your Arbites... :)
Miniatures you say? Well I too, like to live dangerously...

Thank you!

I have quite a bunch of rioters by now, from very different sources. The latest ones look like this:

But my idea is deploying the whole group of civilians as can be found in this thread, so we have the feeling of thriving population :D

I have plans for the Genestealer Cult too, but that will come, that will come in time... :P

Those rioters look great! I imagine you had a lot of fun with those conversions.

The Arbites look great too but I’ve always been put off by the cost of a decent compliment in modern times. Here’s hoping we get some new plastics on the back of Necromunda!

The latest addition to my law enforcement force is, well, slightly different. I had been wanting to add some armoured element to my Arbites, and I thought that a Sentinel would be fine. Not too heavy and it fits in the general vibe. It all begun with an old, broken cheap toy, a police car. I preserved the lights and then built this:

I used the heavy flamer configuration, but of course replaced it with a heavy webber, which makes sense for a riot control vehicle. After splatting some black on the model I got this:

Easy, cheap and quick. All I ask for!

I'm looking forward to seeing how it performs when the revolution starts...

Very nice. That came out great. The Webber is an excellent idea as well.

That is a brilliant idea, taken to a great finish.
Like the detailing with the insignia etc.
