28mm Warlord Games Caesarian Romans
« on: January 15, 2014, 06:34:02 PM »
A sheer delight to paint up. These are every bit as nice as the Foundry, and of course, half the cost. Highly recommended..... Bring on the German scums!!!!  Enjoy......

I'm not that fond of Warlord Caesarian plastic Romans but I have to admit this bunch looks quite impressive. Like particulary the shot from the back of the unit.

Thank you Professor. They are better proportioned than Warlord's Early imperial Romans. A great counterpart to Foundry.

I have the Foundry range, which I will stay with - but these look most impressive as a group; good painting and photography.

Yes it's a bit hard to imagine giving up the Copplestone's magic. But these guys with their poses and movement here are looking seriously dangerous, more than somewhat neatly built Foundry ones. Still no replacement for Foundry but a real option.

Very nice work!  I particularly like the dirt stippling on the shields. :)

Nicely painted.I agree they fit nicely with the foundry ones as well as wargames factory.by mixing the sets within a unit you can get a nice variety of poses.

Hello all

Yes they are great and they mix well with foundry.
They are also great to convert being plastic.

Cheers

Hello all

Thanks Mikeygees.
I used a pict head from West Wind (they sell separated heads) and sculped the cape.

On the following picture i used a games workshop head and again sculped the cape.
I wanted this figure to look like it didnt had time to pick the shield and so used the helmet as defence.

Cheers
