The correct english term is plasticard. Interesting to know, though - I´d consider it too expensive to use for terrain, I´d rather use stable cardboard.

Great, that's what I plan to use for my river.


I used 0.5mm plasticard for marshes. In fact,  this technique came from Terrain Mat that use it for roads and fields.

Awww, those sheep are lovely! From Mega Miniatures, by any chance? And the morass is pretty neat, too. I love how the pieces blend into the table.

Just had a look at this older thread because I want to do some riverbanks / shorelines myself. Now I have to add: This marsh area is perfect!
