OGAM Woden
« on: January 16, 2014, 08:32:04 AM »
Hi

I am trying to put together a Woden cult for Of Gods and Mortals based on the following description. Does anyone have suggestions on which traits I should build Woden (definitely distinct from Odin) with?

Brian Branston's book 'The lost Gods of England' sums up Woden:

'The Anglo-Saxon Woden stalked the rolling downland, one-eyed and wise beyond all knowing in cloak and hood when the weather was fine, stopping at the cross-roads to recognise his own dangling from the gallows; but on black and stormy nights he racketed across the sky at the head of his wild hunt of lost and noisy souls'.

Many thanks.

I just acquired the rules this weekend past and have yet to digest them.  I shall give it some thought as I go a second time through.

I can see how this rendition is different from the 'usual' Odin representations.

I shall get back after some action with the grey cells.
