Saucers are Coming
« on: January 28, 2014, 09:20:24 AM »
After seeing all the discussion about Mantic Mars Attacks, I was inspired...

I got a local wood turner to spin off 2 saucers, and had some special legs cut.  Scratch built chairs - Inner ring from cellotape.  The Domes are bu EMA Model Supplies.

Just for fun, If you fancy one let me know...  these are taking lots of space on the shelf.

Excellent work!! :o I'd be loathe to get rid of them! Surely there's some ace 1950s style gaming to be had from them before you part with them?!?

Hi

These cost me about £30 each to get the wood turned and for the domes.  There is a hatch to the underside too...  Not clearly shown (EMA Supplies these and many other small techy pipeline style stuff. If £35 each suits anybody...  The Gold top 1 has blue legs, with a shaded gold to blue underside.

Im not a gamer I just enjoy the making, painting etc.  The legs are laser cut and I could get a price for the saucers if anyone wants them. I was going to use 1/48th resin pilot seats too.
