Battle of Antietam: Black Powder
« on: January 18, 2014, 10:39:52 PM »
Gentlemen,

On Friday January 17 we at BOD Utrecht played a huge Black Powder game. We played one of the pivotal battles of the ACW, Antietam (September 17, 1862) It was spread out on three tables. Great fun, great evening. The result was a draw which is in line with history. one of the club members wrote an excellent battle report, please visit his blog on: http://janwillembootsblog.wordpress.com/2014/01/18/battle-of-antietam-creek-september-17-1862-a-black-powder-event-wargames-society-bod-utrecht-the-netherlands/

Awesome! That's a great looking game, lot of nice scenery and well painted miniatures. Great stuff. Your new scenery pieces were well worth the effort :)

Exceptionally nicely presented game.  It looks heerlijk!

What company produces the Confederate flag shown in the 16th picture - the one with the excellent shading and crease marks?

I just wish I occasionally remembered to take pictures of games!  That looks simply marvelous.  One of these days I'll actually get into Civil War gaming.  Always been interested in it, but been put off by the prospect of painting it.  Perhaps I'll have to find some skirmish rules for the Civil War, lol.

Great looking stuff.
