Starting up this thread as it's only a little over four months until Little Wars Melbourne (Sunday 1st June) and Little Wars Adelaide (Saturday 12th July). Yesterday Nic from Eureka Miniatures sent out an email to those who have run a game in the past with some details.
Little Wars is on again in 2014, bigger and better than ever.
We have secured Moorabbin town hall for Sunday 1st June. It’s a fantastic venue with loads of parking, a train station 100m from the front door and plenty of space. Setup from 8am, public access from 9:30 with the day ending around 4pm (out by 5:30)
The theme of Little Wars has always been games for gamers and we are again looking for people to put on games which people can participate in, having a good time pushing around a few figures. We are now looking for proposals for games for the 2014 Melbourne show. These games might take a few different forms:
- Short form pickup games: which can run many time throughout the day (say around 1 hour)
- Medium pickup games: which will run for half a day
- Longer games: which will run for the whole day
- Display games: run for the whole day without public participants
- Display: Got some nice terrain and figures but no game? Set it up to show off.
If you have a game in mind then please give us details so we can find you a space.

We are keen to expand the range of things offered so if you do something interesting (and related to gaming!), or know someone who does send us through an offer and we’ll find you space. Eg: Role playing, board games, models, etc.
We are looking to confirm games by the end of February.
The website (
www.littlewars.com.au) has not been updated yet, but I expect it will soon be revamped for 2014's events.
I plan on running a half day game at the Melbourne day like I usually do - either one session or two shorter ones. Problem at the moment I can't decide whether to finish my 28mm modern Afghanistan table or something else (uniquie) that will require more work.
Is anyone else planning on going or running a game?
