Not all, though.  Osprey's Home Front shows black strapped puttees in the colour plate and picture, but a picture of an officer shows the puttees are far lighter than the khaki uniform and the other 5 have no puttees at all.

Some more photos are available on the Warlord homepage with a little trick shown on frothers resp. dakkadakka:

It would be interesting to know, if the military and the civilian versions will be available seperately. As I could use some of the civilians.

Must say I do love my Foundry Dad's Army.

Will be interesting to see if they release support weapons an other packs for this range.

Thanks for posting the photos from Warlords.

Cheers,

Helen
Best wishes,

Sgt Wilson's pretty good I think, but I'm not sure about the rest.

I think they're okay. Some likenesses are a little off but overall they're quite fun. :D

Yes, I agree, some of them are pretty good, Wilson, Walker, the vicar and the verger. The rest, not so much. I like the Mainwaring figure as a figure, but it looks nothing like the man himself.

Is n't that the whole point, Richard. If they are produced under licence from the BBC should n't they look like the actors in the part? I don't think any of them are even remotely like the actors. Sad, but Warlord should bin them and get a proper sculptor.

I think that these are very nice and I think that the way the pictures have been taken as flatten them a bit, if fact Mr Hicks has said such. I for one will be getting them

King Tiger: they can't block and delete your posts from Twitter. ;) Not as direct or visible, I think, but better than Defiance-style hushing-up.

I don't touch Twitter, but I'd rather have nothing to do with poor companies

I'll be sticking to my Foundry figures but as joroas said, hopefully we can rely on Warlord for some Home Guard heavy and improvised weaponry.
Don't!

I have been comparing the image from the Wargames Foundry, as well as the pictures above, with images on Google. My personal feelings are that neither company provides dead ringers (priceless works of art) for any of the actors.

Having said this, I will say that both companies equally succeed in capturing the feel of the actors. Just as any caricature should. I don't think that any fan of the television show would not instantly recognize either company's figures as "Dad's Army".

After that, it is simply a personal preference in sculpting styles. One is more cartoon-ish, while the other is more natural. Me, I prefer the Warlord figures.
