7TV Multiplayer

Has anyone used the 7TV rules for a Multiplayer bash?

Would you handle it by just having a couple of teams on each side?

I think quite a few people have. Check out the Crooked dice forums you'll get a much bigger response.

I would but "Registration is closed on this board" or so it tells me ...

Oh and might I add the question: The low end 150pt skirmishes seem a bit ... weak? What do you think makes a good game points wise?

250 ratings per side to start with gives you a a couple of characters and a good number of extra's. Villains tend to have more expensive characters but cheaper minions.

Karl will hopefully see this and drop you PM to add you to the forums as well they where getting plagued with spammers.

Here a sample of one of my casts.

The Wild Ducks

Officially the 13th Commando regiment. but - if you can contact them, and can afford them - you can hire 'The Wild Ducks' a band of soldiers available for those jobs that can't be done by the book. Performing missions usually for Queen and country Captain Charles Mallard otherwise known as 'Drakey'  leads his men on top secret missions. Whether it is to remove from power a tinpot dictator, capturing dope smugglers in South America or Arms dealers supplying weapons to warlords in Africa no job is to small  or to dirty for his highly trained soldiers.

Captain Charles Mallard 'Drakey'  (Military Mind)
49 Ratings

Brains behind all the operations taken on by The Wild Ducks. Drakey is a bombastic commander and leads his from the front.

Move: 6 Def: 4 Hits: 3 Str: 3 Agi: 4 Int: 4 Mor: 6 Luck: 2

Attacks: Brawl 4+, High Calibre Pistol 3+

Sergeant Patrick O'Hara 'Paddy' (Dependable Deputy) 36

Captain Mallards grizzled Sergeant famed amongst his men for his throwing arm and sharp eyes. Also handy with a needle and thread Paddy's patched up many a man when the bullets start flying.

Move: 6 Def: 4 Hits: 2 Str: 4 Agi: 4 Int: 3 Mor: 4 Luck: 3

Drop us a line at mail@crooked-dice.co.uk and I can get you set up. Sorry spammers killed open registration.

150 ratings is fine for a starting game to get you up and running with the rules - but as Brummie says 250 Ratings gives you a decent spread.

If you are playing multi-player (3-6) then you are better going for closer to 150. It's a UGOIGO system so if you include too many models to activate it can lead to too much downtime. We've run loads of multiplayer games at shows and found they work great. You can also tweak the mechanics using initiative cards to randomise player order a bit.
