CNT die hard against the Legion
« on: January 31, 2014, 11:23:16 AM »
James and I had another great game of Spanish Civil War Chain of Command yesterday evening pitting myself with Anarchist Militia defending a village against the advancing Fascist Foreign Legion.

I've done a full report along with orders of battle and more photographs on the  Scrivsland blog

Top game last night Paul.

With hindsight, i should have sat on your 3rd Jump-Off point with my Tankette at the first opportunity.

I also need to make better use of Scouts, who always move and can go Tactical

I have to say that i probably wouldn't have discovered CoC if it wan't for your lists. So all in all Jim you and Rolf's hard work have sparked back into life my SCW project and brought Scrivs into the fold too.

Excellent work Gentlemen

You may have one only of "El Hombre", Renault FT-17 and Fanatics under the Peoples Militia's Support choices [wags finger]  ;)

I only had one El Hombre
I think what it means is you can have one of 'Fanatic Milicianos' or 'Hardened Milicianos' or 'Highly Motivated Milicianos' and the one of 'Renault FT (MG) tank' or 'CA-1 Schneider assault tank'

Otherwise you would struggle to spend the 17pts of disparity between the Militia and the Legion.

Maybe Arlequin could clarify :)

'El Hombre' is a single one only choice, but remains in play for the whole game and shifts between units at the player's discretion. It can only effect one unit per phase though.

The Militia have it rough mostly and the idea is that for a brief period of time a unit will actually obey an order straight off the bat and with no discussion... making it at the player's discretion is throwing him a bone. You could try it out with your opponent choosing which unit it will be though, could be interesting.

;)

The * choice refers to each type, not an overall either/or. So you could have a single FT-17, 'El Hombre' and either Fanatic/Hardened/Motivated Milicianos in the same force for example.

Discounting 'El Hombre' and the troop quality aspects, material was initially in short supply, hence the restrictions.

Hope that helps.  :)
