First look at Parthians -Painted - Aventine
« on: February 20, 2014, 02:29:52 PM »
We have just finished making the first master mould for the Parthian Range. From it we put 3 figures together to give a feel of what the range will look like. Adam has done a load of bodies and heads so lots of variations will appear.

We hope to have the first set of packs ready next week along with a 12 figure unit deal.

The figures are just knock-ups and the final production figures may have different heads etc.

Cheers

Keith

Yes! I love them! Especially these two character guys with swords are brilliant. Looking forward to more.

Keith, will you have unarmored Parthians too? Bowmen etc.?

Prof

A full range of the mounted types, both heavy and light. Adam has been talked into adding armoured archers as well for the Early Sassanids.

If you did those three mounted figures in your lunchtime to such a high standard - then you are having far too long a lunchbreak. Very nice.

One of the advantages in working for oneself...2 1/2 hours from grey to what you see. Blocking in and washing with inks, a few highlights and there you go.

Amazone painting job, Keith!

Fascinating, I would need 8-10 hours and they surely won't be looking better :)

Lovely! I'll have to get some of those once they're available. Need to persuade Steve @ LBMS to make some new Sassanid banners too though - there's only so many times you can use the same designs.

Nice!  Are those metal or plastic?

They are white metal in 28mm.

Phil I have spoken to Steve and he is re-sizing some banners, I will see if he can come up with some new ones for you.

Cheers

I asked him a while ago about re-sizing some of the ones from the 15mm banner sheet - there are quite a few more designs than on the 28mm sheet. I hope he does that because they're lovely.
