Specifically Canadian varnish question

I know there's lots of threads recommending a good brush-on varnish to finish figures with, but some of the brands are not available here and others are labelled differently.

I'm just looking for the usual: Strong, thin, matte or nearly so (though I guess some folks apply three coats: gloss, then gloss, then matte), extremely low risk of frosting (the horror, the horror).

For the the other abominable snowmen on here, which brands are best among those available specifically in Canada?

I've use the Liquitex varnishes and I think they are quite good. Pretty much every art store would have it.

I am not from Canada, but I always used simple silk finish varnish from hardware stores, nothing fancy

Liquitex is quite good; Michaels with a coupon.

Personally I mostly use Vallejo varnishes as needed for decals, for example; followed by Testors Dullkote.

Daler-Rowney Soluble Matt varnish - I bring 2 or 3 bottles over everytime I am in the UK but you can get it here

As usual with all polyurethane based varnishes it leaves an odour so I have an extractor set up in my painting room during summer - in winter I use the bathroom as it has a heat lamp and an extractor
