Warlord is making smart partnerships instead of fighting against them. Working with other companies grows the hobby...I have seen Warlord mention ROE on their own web posts along with Bolt Action. They are cross selling their product.

Plus the Itelleri sets are smaller plastic sets, half the box it seems.....so in case you don't need a full box you could pick up a less expensive box to round out your army.

I agree that cross company co-operation is an excellent, (and very rational) idea. I'm interested in the vehicles, Italeri have a history of producing good scale models, & I'm wondering whether the level of detail on the  planned vehicles will be at the high level of a typical scale model, or of a less detailed gaming piece (if indeed they're scaled down from their 1/35 offerings it promises a pretty high level).

I hope these are properly scaled for 1/56 as mentioned - not re-hashes of 1/48 etc.  I think Italeri is also making smart moves.  Within the past few years they've been selling a bunch of "wargames approved" labeled kits.  They realize there is a giant gap between modellers and wargamers for some reason ---- a silly issue which should be remedied, opening up both sides of the hobby to each other's resources.

If quality plastic kits were produced in 1/56th, I'm sure plenty of hobby model builders would buy them etc.

Hello,

the Italeri 1/72 buildings I got are only plastik. No resin. The only Italeri-resin kits are some parts for planes, afaik.

Really interesting range. I opted for 1/48 because nothing else existed in other ranges. At lease 1/48 had a few planes and the odd tank. This is a great move.

I dont see the huge difference between gamers and hobbyists. I mean look at the fine detailed constructions around this place. But agreed they should be a little "study" :)

Cheers
Matt
