Nice! Haven't seen the show (might not have been on here yet), but I saw the figures on the trailer, which certainly got my attention.

I see you're willing to field Fuzzies and Ansar side by side. I do the same myself - can't resist the spectacle - but I've attracted censure for violence towards historical facts. What do other Kipplers and riders of Haggards think?

I think you'd probably say that 'Fuzzies' are Ansar, if they're fighting for the Mahdi.

I don't think it hurts to be armed with the information that the Brits only fought two major battles against the Beja in traditional garb and with their signature hairdos. They weren't the ubiquitous enemy that wargamers seem to think they were (they just made a huge impression on the public consciousness).

However, once armed with that info, it is no great crime to ignore it altogether.  :)

Indeed - now if only someone did just a complete box of plastics of the guys wearing a jibbah that would be great . The Perry box makes 14 of those out of 40 ..

Well it’s been a while since this collection had some love . I have some bits to add to it over the winter paint season .

This pair have lain in the depths of the lead mine for a while - so time to slap some paint on.

Sir Garnet Wolsley and Sir Sidney Ruff Diamond - we maybe heading up the Khyber here in due course , but he will be heading to Khartoum for tiffin soon enough .
