My opinion is most people do aspire to something of the sort in their terrain. I think it's a skill, like drawing for example. Some people are better than others. I don't know how you started Captain, but I remember years ago my brother and myself starting to play 40K. We used video tape boxes!  Later, we graduated to using a green blanket over the aforementioned boxes! ;) After that we starting using cornflake packets and following articles out of White Dwarfs. Hopefully if we all post threads like this to give people the inspiration or we post threads that gamers, who are just starting out, can follow like we followed the WD 'Howto's, people will get better!

What I would add too your comment though is, I wish people would aspire to this sort of level of terrain making if your putting on a display/demo game at a wargames show!!
