We did not include a talent to do this for very good reasons.
Imagine facing a British Officer who has FV+4 and a Cavalry Sabre +2 such as Captain Napier. You want to give him the option to take two sabres and thus two attacks at full bonus of +6? The man would become a one man butcher's shop!
The rules are written to reflect a little bit of reality. Either you concentrate your attack on a single figure, which under the current combat rules you mostly shall be doing as figures are paired off wherever possible (IHMN 3.2.3), or you split your focus and slash away at two or more opponents at reduced chance to hit (IHMN 3.4.2).
If we look at the standard armament of men of the time, except in the East, most men concentrated on wielding a single fighting weapon. The most potent combination, and one most frequently seen was the Pistol and Sword (IHMN 3.3.4).
However, as always, if you agree this house rule with your opponents then this is fine with us.
