Great work!  I got these rules for christmas, and have been itching to do some minis up for a few games.  Your work is inspiring!  I also intend to use some LOTR harad and corsairs as generic goons in some of my games, they fit perfectly.

Thanks. The LotR minis work great for 7th Voyage. I think Easterlings would work perfectly as Palace Guards too.

After a long time of exams, im finally done and able to get back to my 7th Voyage games. I'm working on a market town, so first up is a few for that

Merchants and beggars

A couple of Great Apes for the jungle board i have in mind

A Lost Soul Co-Star to add to my villains cast

And finally an Homunculus, because frankly, ever good Vile Tyrant needs one to do their bidding :)

Most of these were swiftly done with dry brushing, but im pleased with them, and did chip away at my lead pile which has been building whilst ive been doing my exams. Now onto my Nemean Lion and a few Spirits!

Some very cool ideas around. Especially those fancy creatures – and, above all, the winged monkey. So cute and dangerous. :-*

Hi all. Just a quick battle report from the other week if it's of interest to anyone. Sorry about the poor photos :P

The gripping adventures of Alhasan Kazim continue! After defeating the desert nomad Snake Clan, Alhasan finds himself in the town of Kardovān. Built on the ruins of a sacred temple, the town has now been haunted by a lost soul, and the undead fiends it controls.

As the heroes enter the town, the lost soul appears and is quick to summon two skeletons.

Whilst out heroes charge forward!

From a safe distance, the warriors take out one of the skeletons with their bows, whilst the lost soul summons a shadow.

The archers continue to take out the final skeleton as their compadres head forwards. Unfortunately for the lost soul, he's unable to summon any of his spirits this turn.

As the lost soul summons his final three spirits, the centaur rushes forward to attempt to take out the shadow, but fails to hit. This gives the lost soul an excellent chance to reek some havoc and is able top take the centaur out...Teaches him for rushing out alone!

Finding himself without his trusty centaur, our hero battles it out against the undead.

The veterans are able to give our hero some back up, with their leader able to take out the shadow

The archers are able to keep their distance and take out another spirit

Two of the veterans obviously couldn't handle being around the spooky ghosts and both get scared. The veteran who had tried to take down the lost soul wasn't scared for long as he was take out shortly afterwards.

Finally, in the epic conclusion, Alhasan and the lost soul come head to head in the final battle. As they fight the leader of the veterans is able to sneak round the back of the lost soul and deliver the final blow.

Nice!

Looks like a fast and bloody little skirmish.  Great looking table, too, by the way.

Thanks. The games really fun and fast paced and isn't bogged down with lots of unnecessary rules.

Very interesting... could you publish the troops stats? I have the 7th voyage and I would like to play with it in a similar way than you

the hero cast was a:

Favoured Champion with the Blade of Destiny. Effect were Gifts of the Gods 1, Inspirational, Leader 1, A Good Offence, Armour, Shield and Courageous. Plus all the stat and attack boosts you can get.

Centaur with a spear

Veterans with swords x3, one upgraded to a leader.

Villains:

Lost Soul with a sword, Cursed, Fearsome, Incorporeal, Psychic, Slow, Leader 1, Magic 1, Awaken the Dead spell and all stat boosts.

Mercenary Spirits with spears x3

Shadow

Skeleton Warriors with swords x 2

Personally, on smaller games, I find having to summon most of your cast a major problem, but having the hero cast have to roll for a fear check every turn made up for it in the later stages.

It's great fun, you wont regret it. And they're just brought out a new supplement too which adds dark ages myths  :)

I keep meaning to pick up the Foundry Hydra. It has a perfect stop motion look to it  :D
