There's something familiar about that figure! He's looking good!  :-*

Okay, here we go! I will be taking pictures and uploading these as I go.

The first league is Mrs. Donerwetter Abroad, a rich old Pennsylvania Dutch cat lady who travels with her long-suffering butler Mr. Cassidy.

The cats from left to right are: Mr. Tiggles, Thomasina, Jake & Elwood (single base - this is actually a miniature version of our own real cats), and Schrödinger

She's not going to be used right away, as her league isn't very learn-the-rules friendly. But her time will come!

Brilliant!
Absolutely love them all.
The freehand is great and the colouration on the moggies perfect.
 :-* :-* :-*

It really is a treat to finally see exactly what all those specific requests for figures were for.
Looking forward to the next League.
 :D

Thanks Mason  :D

For this league, I have shamelessly ripped off Dave. Here's Pop Top & his pirates. From left to right, Jung, Fingers, Pop Top, Jimmy Noh, and Joe. I might have the hangers-on slightly different than Dave does, but I liked the idea of Fingers (who as a Follower is weaker than the others), being the "old guy".

Not sure about my matte coat. I applied two full coats and even did touch-ups such that some figures had as much as three matte coats (over a three-day period) and I still wound up with some spots shinier than I would have liked. I'll leave it as-is though. I don't really feel like pressing my luck further.

Brilliant work, very nice to see Schrödinger! Lovely painting, Mr. Cassidy especially, I love that waistcoat. Mr. Tiggles looks like he's been getting more than his fair share of the cat food?

He's a growing boy. He also has very large elbows for a cat, if you get my meaning.  :D

Here are the Bogatyrs.

From left to right: Politruk Pavel Chichikov, Izumrudnya Muromets, Major of Aviation, Katyusha Nikitich (or, "Katie Rockets"), Captain of Armoured Forces, Grigori Popovich, and Technical Lieutenant Igor Nelyubov

Many thanks to Cuprum for his endless help with uniforms, background, and all the other ridiculous questions I had.

Awesome work my friend  :o :o Dont worry so much about the varnish if you use them often they will dull up and if not they look great as is.

Who makes the figs used in your Bogatyrs league. I would love to add them to my growing Pulp collection.

Okay, left to right again... the politruk is a Copplestone BoB commissar, the babushka is a Hasslefree figure (Madge), Katie Rockets is a Studio McVey limited edition figure (so I don't know if she's still available) with her gun converted to look a little less Buck Rogers, Grigori is a Dust figure (Sgt Victory) with a headswap (the head was gently removed from a Copplestone Soviet BoB infantryman), and the lieutenant is also a Dust figure (Panzerprinz), with a headswap for a west wind soviet infantryman head, with added greenstuff mustache & pipe.

Here we have a young Belgian reporter for Le Pétit Vingtième, along with his coterie of friends.

Blistering blue barnacles, I believe I can!

Are the moggies and catlady the Black Cat Bases set?

Mrs. Donerwetter is a converted "Edna, cat lady" from Reaper. I added the hat, turned her slippers into shoes, changed the cane to a thinner one, added a purse and also put the pistol sticking out of the purse. Basically I wanted her to look more like an eccentric but plausibly-wealthy old lady, rather than the near-homeless-looking stock version.

The kitties come with her (you get 6-7 cats, IIRC)

Have you tried 'Dullcote' lacquer by the company 'Testors'?  It needs to be applied outside though.;) Fantastic minis by the way  ;)

Can't get that brand around here. I had to go with what was available (Windsor & Newton). The W&N Gloss was fantastic though. In any case, I don't think it's too bad.

The rest of the minis I have done are not leagues, but just assorted extras for use as backup, plot points, league filler, and the like.

First off, some thugs! So many applications for these fellows - I expect them to be quite useful. You might notice Allan in the middle. He's not a leader, but I decided that it would be a funny running gag for me to have leagues that are ad-hoc, one-off, villain-of-the-week sort of things, with a different leader, allies, and followers each time, only for Allan to always be the sidekick.  lol
