Just noticed them  8).

Keith, is there any prospect of Empress doing Afghan Unit Deals, like you have with other ranges, in the near future (pretty please)?

The pilot on the right is waving a "Goolie Chit". Long knives those tribemen and their wives.  ;)

@ Empress  -

The website mentions A & B versions of the Highlanders - any idea when these will be available?

Thanks very much

Known as a blood chit in other locales. A document promising to reward local civilians for aiding downed pilots.

On the North West Frontier the women had a certain reputation regarding how they treated enemies who fell into their hands (Billy Fish puts it rather well in The Man Who Would be King - "And now the womans of Er-Heb will cut his bollocks off!"). A blood chit would (hopefully) save your goolies, hence the RAF nickname for them in this part of the world.

I happen to have one, though mine is from the S.E. Asia theatre of WWII. It is printed on a piece of silk.

Dear friend,
I am an Allied fighter. I did not come here to do any harm to you who are my friends. I only want to do harm to the Japanese and chase them away from this country as quickly as possible. If you assist me, my Government will sufficiently reward you when the Japanese are driven away.
