Cutting Edge Miniatures?
« on: June 25, 2014, 02:53:35 AM »
Anyone have any experience with these minis? I'm looking to do a Sea People / Lukka faction(s) for my Trojan War project, and I've got a few figs from Foundry and North Star, but these new Cutting Edge minis at Warlord have got me thinking I may just wait til the line expands. I hear they are slim and more realistically proportioned than most 28mm, but I sure do like the looks of them!

I bought a Hittite chariot back when they only available from Cutting Edge.
They have plenty of variety and are nice figures and IMO mix with Foundry but I don't think the efforts of Messer's Perry & Perry have been equalled never mind surpassed.  Others will no doubt disagree
I'm not painting the chariot, my Biblical collection is all Foundry and it's staying that way.

Here's a link to Satrap Miniatures, there are plenty of Cutting Edge miniatures and some comparisons with Foundry.  http://satrapminiatures.blogspot.co.uk/

They will fit well alongside Foundry, not as dynamic and a little under-fed but great sculpts nonetheless and they also cover alot of troop types Foundry doesn't. I haven't seen North Star in the flesh but I imagine there bigger than both Cutting Edge and Foundry, would I be right in this assumption?
