Their packs of Greek elders are very useful for skirmish gaming; bags of character.

Exactly Rui, but with your skill with milliput, i think you can use any figurine as base of conversion, just like you do on the foundry Dark Africa range  :-*
Excellent job.

hey,

if you have time, you must give us a tuto (with step by step pics) about your sculpting work like these conversion you did based on Foundry DA   ;D

Could be usefull. Even for me, who don't like too much milliput use.....in fact i don't like the material and the way to use it, is very boring for me.   :?

All my finished gangs for Song of Shadow and Dust (smaller than ones nead for saga version) are at the basing workbench.
Hope to furnish some pics in few days.

cheers
Eric

Hello all

Eric, i dont think i have the skill to present a tutorial yet.
In time its my pleasure to do that if it helps but i´m still training and perfecting the small degree i have in sculping.
If anyone wishes i can describe how i made the conversions but the tunic its not easy to explain.
Mainly its a matter of patience i gess.

Cheers

Well done my friend. :-*

That drunkard gang may have a future yet. lol
The best fighters and the best drunkards.
What varnish do you use (gloss and matt ones)?

i varnish after the basing.
At the moment these figurines are not varnished.   ;)
The gloss aspect is done by the "Smoke".
It's a Tamya product looking like a shader varnish . i use it after painting .
then i use a matt varnish , that fix all the grass etc.....

the flash give a very gloss aspect that doesn't exist in real.

Hello all

Yes i know smoke from tamiya although i never used it on this way. Good tip.
About the matt varnish i use vallejo but sometimes even shacking a lot of time, the product stays slightly brilliant and from time to time small white spots appear after spraying the miniatures so i need to try others.

Cheers

Rui

when i'm run out of varnish i use a spray for PVC plastic renovation (garden chair, etc....)....
it's very matt but never failed like some special hobby varnish.
The white spot arrived because of an air reaction if it's too cold outside for example......a friend of mine put his figurines a few minutes near an open hot oven. Strange but it's work...never try it for myself.... ???
