Absolute top paint job, but - looking at the price and after reading your tale - I'll stick to (prepainted or not) PMC games (Ebay) and (to be repainted...) Conflix, I guess.  £85 will buy me a village...

Superb looking model.  ;D Your painting has done it justice, its got lots of delightful small details that bringit to life like the writing, the small areas where the wattle is showing through etc. wonderful. :) Very much looking forward to seeing this on the tabletop.  ;) Your town must look pretty impressive with your churche etc. Can we have a teaser pic with everything in situ?

Excellent paint job mate, really inspiring looking model.
Out of curiosity (like I'm ever going to buy one at that price), what is the interior detail like? Is there any or is it just plain?

I'll certainly try to get one. The main problem now is that I've got so much scenery on the tabletop, there's barely room for the figures!  ;)

For a Tudor setting do you need a shrub hanging outside (to signify that beer has been freshly brewed ?).

Good point sir. I shall get onto it.  ;)

No, the interior detail is great - well, flooring and ceilings (!) anyway. There are no doorways in the interior walls, but I suppose that's easily rectified.

I haven't taken any interior pics yet because I've only primed the interior, but you can get the gist from the Forgeworld site, here...

By the way - I didn't actually spend all that money on it myself. It was my Christmas present from my wife...  :D

It is splendiferous and when you think how many scenarios can be based around an Inn it isnt really that bad a price for such a lovely building and the paint work pays homage to the sculpting, well done Captain :-* :D

As always, Captain, I'm impressed by your painting style. Lovely details all over the building which only come out through a massive effort like yours. Like the Green Man theme a lot!

Apart from FW's customer services, I'd like to have this building as birthday present, too. :-*

:o :o :o :-* WoW, fantastic inn. the painting really finishes off a lovely building. After your nightmare with customer services I'd go for Pardulon buildings, just as nice and better servive so I gather  (I must admit I haven't got round to buying any yet :'( :'()

Cheers

I am genuinely impressed. Very nice model, lovely brushwork. Nice pay off for all that hard work and all that buggering about with Forgeworld.

Fnatastic paint work! I agree that the brickwork is particularly well done.

I recognize most of the figures, but where did the chap in the spiffy green cap come from?

Sorry I am Johnny-Late-Comer here; what a beautiful piece of scenere!  I used to build pieces like this from scratch and it hurts not having the time anymore but the thought of forking out £85 for a piece of scenery makes my gonads shrink.
