Unfortunately at the Cannon show tomorrow we will not be able to take the Agordat 1941 game so I am instead taking a Spanish Civil War game.

In preparation I have painted up another handful of Republican infantry plus a UNL-35 armoured car.

I have also built a few sections of vines for the table.

Over the weekend I took a break from painting WWI and went back and painted the last eight Empress Guardia Civil I needed to complete the platoon for our Chain of Command Espana games.

There are more close-ups over on the blog.

Here is a shot of the complete platoon mounted on some of the Warbases movement trays that I also finished painting this week.

On Thursday I picked up ten of their International Brigade figures from Northstar.

These chaps are lovely sculpts, take very little cleaning up and are a real joy to paint. I'll certainly pick up some more next week.

Lovely figures, I am guessing that they work fine with Empress internationals also?

Thanks. They go quite well with the Empress ones I have.

Following on from last weekends post I have painted another dozen of the International Brigade figures from Northstar.

These really are a joy to paint. I'm on my holidays for a week now, but when I return I shall be painting a few more.

It's been a good few weeks since any new chaps joined the fight against Franco, but today some leaders and a Maxim joined the nascent International Brigade force that I have been putting together.
