Can't promise, but I'm pretty sure one of them was Blackbeard. If it wasn't Blackbeard then it could certainly be used as him. Had a lovely pistol brace down his chest.

:D Certainly sounds promising to me. Cheers.

Dans les situations critiques, quand on parle avec un calibre bien en pogne, personne ne conteste plus. Y'a des statistiques là-dessus.

Does anybody know if you will be able to play any fantasy races in this game?
Orks, goblins, ghosts, mermaids, etc?

Figures look superb, hope there's loads. The other ranges by North Star only have about 20 figures. THE CID

I'm afraid not - it's a historical game. It wouldn't be too hard to add your own fantastical elements, but that's not it's focus.

As for the size of the range, without wanting to give too much away, you're not going to be short of choice for pirates, and there might be a few more surprising bits and bobs as well...

I like most of those, could past on some. Overall, not bad at all.

I should point out that those are Artizan and Crusader miniatures stocked by Nick, not new figures from the North Star range.

Those packs can be found here:

I wouldn't worry about it - it just means you can buy them now, rather than later!  ;D

Quite. These are far from new figures, and are not designed to accompany this new set of rules. Please stay on topic.

I was just about to ask if some of those weren't Artizan  lol

More nice pirate minis out there is just more icing on the cake - I have a big bag of Black Cat Bases pirates/seamen to pick from for the time being, but I really like the look of those presented, too.

When I have finished my current work to get a couple of cults for VuK ready for the table, I may begin sorting out what I've got in store for privateering. (Or where ever the painting clubs direct me  ::)  )

Pirates are a sideshow for me, but whenever this comes out, please post reviews and perhaps AARs. I do have LotHS, but if something better comes along...  ;)

Ask at the LAF, and answer shall thy be given!

Yea, they did a fine job with the Ronin add on for Mythical Creatures in the game.
