Aztec Vignette./Gringo40s
« on: February 28, 2014, 10:41:57 AM »
Chaps
thought you might like to see a Vignette Andy Taylor
painted of my forthcoming 28mm Aztecs..this work of
art graces the latest issue of Wargames Soldiers and Strategy no;71
and depicts the Aztecs hunting down the conquistadors on the
causeway at Tenochtitlan on the "night of a thousan tears"..it
involves a couple of conquistador conversion..ie the armoured
conquistador about to be given the "coup de grace" and the
conquistador scrambling to get out laden with little gold ingots..
the full story is in the magazine :D

I am pleased to say I got the mag yesterday so this is not new to me! It's a doozy, although I must admit it bears a striking resemblance to Swansea Council's terrible decision to hold the annual Mardi Gras parade along the sea wall, just as a construction crew had turned up to repair it after recent flooding. There was claret and feathers everywhere.

Next issue's diorama for the WS&S cover is also a peach. If the damn varnish dries in time that is.

'Sir John ejaculated explosively, sitting up in his chair.' ... 'The Black Gang'.

I`m surprised no one has thought to build MDF aztec buildings etc such as 4ground and Sarrissa types would be a good idea

Nice work from Mr Taylor.

A fallen M&A would be a welcome addition to the range.

Cheers,

Helen
