Goths
« on: March 17, 2014, 05:05:59 PM »
These are for an army I'm slowly building to take on my Late Romans.  Most of the minis were painted by Redzedz, but I painted some, applied shield transfers where appropriate and based.

Agreed!! Really spectacular!  The figures look great and the basing is superb.

Thanks chaps!  I recently bought some Late Romans off Shaun, and I reckon they will look even better, based!  Can't wait.

Stellar painting and basing as usual, Simon.  :-*
I must say that I like the 3-base units best.

Looking forward to seeing your Late Romans!

Cheers,
Scott

Thanks Scott; you mean you prefer the 3 base to the single based Britons?  I'm in two minds, I quite like the weighty 24-man bases of Brits...  the single elements are a tad more practical, though.

Cheers, SImon

Yes, although the triple-size single Briton bases are quite impressive, I still prefer the look (and the relative flexibility) of the 3-base units. Just my personal bias, of course.  :)

Scott

Hi Scott, I shall probably keep a lot of troop on the 3-base frontage; Romans, for example, who might march in column, and the rear elements of the big blocks of Celts, as is useful to indicate disorder.  But I am taken with the huge elements...  :-)

I hear you, man! You should go with what looks best to you, absolutely!  :)
