Dirtside II - Where do you get your chits?
« on: March 02, 2014, 04:56:02 PM »
Hey all.

I'm thinking of getting into Dirtside II, but I don't think that my sausage figures will cope very well with flimsy printed-paper chits.

I'd much rather have something in the way of laser-cut acrylic. Does anyone know someone that does laser cut Dirtside chits?

MM.

I got mine from a forum member here. He actually had another set on sale back then, should I look up who it was again?  :)

If you could I'd be most grateful. Laser cut?

The original ones that came with the printed came. Die-cut cardboard chits. Not the best but I felt there was no beating the original thing.

Ah. I get you. I'd be more than happy to get my hands on an original set.

I spray glued my printed paper chits to a thicker piece of card (approx 1-2mm) and then cut them out. They have hold up pretty well. Also it is dirt cheap and easy to replace them.

I have paper counters etc for a variety of figure games, and glued most of them to pre-cut MDF bases.

Depends on your counter size, but a couple of bags of 20x20 2mm MDF bases would probably go a long way. The lazer cut ones might be best. If you give the paper a touch of varnish it should make them more durable too.

Why not get in touch with Ian at Fenris games and see if he will laser cut you any?

Although in the lead up to Salute he is often quite busy but it would be worth the wait if you could hold on. I have some of his counters and they are brilliant.
