A steppe pyramid and some jungle terrain is the perfect start for pulp scenery. Good job.

Such a setting makes me just a bit uneasy.  Who knows what may be lurking about?

Usually, just a few more than the bullets in my bandolier.

Lovely terrain! I like the idea of basing some of them on 40mm slottas. I might try this for smaller plants and combine it with the good old CD method which I use for large clumps.

Not meaning to be critical, but have you thought about matt spraying the aquarium plants, as they are a bit glossy?

Certainly they are not by any means bad, but it might make them even better  :)

Yep I mean to spray them, loaned my mate the spray... waiting till I have done them all before giving them the once over. I dont like the shiny platic look, it is the one thing that niggles me every time I look at them... ;D

I love aquarium plants. Have been using them quite a bit myself. And of course a step pyramide is almost a must! Isn't it suprising how easy it is to build up little bits of terrain once you really try it? I know how thrilled I felt when I finished some similar pieces so I can only say: keep it coming.

I have a heap of palm trees done this way, they have a tab on them so it's the only way I can get them on the table.

Well, theoretically, you could cut off the tab  ;)

I started using the large flat GW bases (50mm?) for single large palm trees, but I've found them toppling too easily on a sanded table, so now I use CDs for those, too.
But smaller patches of lower plants will most certainly go on the GW bases.

I use a glue gun to glue model trees to bases. Should the tree fall off, it can very easily be placed back in the 'glue-print' with a dab of superglue for a firm hold.
