Good stuff.  I like the 'dungeon in a box' idea, I could see that working for a number of other games, like 'Evil Despot's lair in a box' or 'Deep space cargo ship in a box'

The Do Or Dice 2014 is done. It was its tenth anniversary and the show was extremely good this year.

The Do Or Dice is not a huge sales convention. We are aiming at beautiful gaming tables and nice and friendly players who like to share the hobby for wargaming ( all games are for participation ) and having a chat.

I took some pictures but I am a lousy photographer as some of you might know but whenever I had the chance to shoot a pic I did it. I wasn `t able to shoot all tables because as one of the organizer I also had to entertain our guests with foodstuff and a quick hello. My Apologies to Reanimation. Maltes outstanding Zombie table and Irmin Sul. Rusus beautiful Dark Age table and Tobis Dr. Who. You`ll get links and will have a look at those nice pieces of wargaming art.

Kugelhagel. A new German Wargame in German language covering the Black powder Age.

The scenario was set during the American Civil War

A 40 K City Fight Table by the Low Brothers. A german Wargame Club from Rendsburg. Very kind fellas

Next was Professor Dons Italian Wars table. You`ll get more impressions from this table in his thread, here at the Forum.

Knuts Pulp Adventure game was one of my favourite looking tables. He was adapting the Urban War rules. Knut is very creative with his scenarios and he always has nice tables. And what I like best about him he is adopting rules he likes for many settings and is not jumping on every hyped Train !

Buki and Monstermaler created a Spaghetti Western scenario using the Pulp Alley Rules. I saw Tuco, Mortimer and Blondie on the character cards, so I gues it was something about The Good The Bad and The Ugly. Great board. All buildings are scratchbuild from lemon boxes. Beautiful.

more to come in the next post...

Old School Wargaming DBA... Nahh...thats not fair...especially not when you have such a talented guy as Thomas. He solely plays with 20 mm plastics and his miniatures are extremely good looking. His terrain is suitable for DBA and good looking too.

Blood Bowl Stadium from the Brudergilde Kiel

They also presented Star Wars on two more boards. The Death Star board was much too big for my camera so I took this picture.

Vasa is famous for his Samurai games. I think his favourite period. Is this board an Oshiro models promo board...I dunno  ;)

more to come....

In 845 the Viking said hello to Hamburg...Not for watching the Hamburg Football Club in his probably last season in the Bundesliga but for plunder, killing and riches... Frank Bauer made this board together with Patrick and we were very proud to have them at the Do Or Dice. They didnt use Axes and Spears but the Saga rules from Alex Buchel and guys.

Where is the Reeperbahn ?

Mini War Hamburg came with two boards too. One was Star Trek Attack Fleet and the other was Freebooters Fate. Sorry no pictures of FBF

One eye catcher was Gunnars Vietnam Board in 6mm. As one LAF`er said earlier...Looks like you are in country... mazing how good Gunnar painted the small GHQ miniatures. I know he is great in painting ( in other things too ) but those are really exceptional.

Another great board was this Hero Quest game. Won...der....ful. The cemetry was actually plaed on top of the underground cathedral. Very spooky looking game board. great paintjob on the miniatures and beatiful craftwork on the gaming table. Lotsa details...

Here are some links for more pictures. Thank you Zerknautscher.

and from the local press.

I am sure there will be more to come soon.

Cheers
