wip conquest woodland indians
« on: March 05, 2014, 02:57:02 PM »
I'm really liking these conquest woodland indians, not really sure how to go about painting them yet so playing about with skin tone etc. (sent this link to the art by Robert Griffing which is a great resource  https://www.google.com.au/search?q=griffing+artist&client=firefox-a&hs=Jkt&rls=org.mozilla:en-US:official&channel=np&tbm=isch&tbo=u&source=univ&sa=X&ei=kjMXU9XyB4OikQWZk4CAAg&ved=0CDoQsAQ&biw=1171&bih=1141 ) BTW they are great sculpts.

I think they look superb!  The skin tone seems about right to me and the sculpts do seem quite nice.  Personally I would hit them with some matte varnish...but thats a matter of personal preference.

Cheers,

Thanks guys, they will be dulled down when finished Blue. I will make a better attempt at photographing them to, rather than this grainy and dull effort.

I know a greywolf who sometimes posts as blackwolf, dependent on the forum in question. From the Goulburn region I believe and a jolly good painter. Are we talking the same person?

High praise indeed. Nice bloke, met him briefly at Cancon but I haven't come across much of his output lately. Figures are always beautifully posed for the photo's too, another thing I have to work on.
