When I saw them the first time I went : "Cool! Orcs zombies!"

Need to see them in the flesh but it is either a strange or original choice...

With some skilled green stuff work, these might make some decent Fimir. The long snouted jaws etc. Turn the eyes into one cyclopean, and add a tail, chop off the ears. Might work?

EDIT: Was basing that idea off the sprue pics. I just saw the assembled figures and have decided they wouldn't make good Fimir...  :?

That would be a good idea!  ;)

I think they would make great fimir, what is it that puts you off? Add a tail and a little eye work.

I have just finished an exclusive review of the upcoming Shieldwolf Miniatures hard-plastic Mountain Orcs. As with all my reviews I have taken a look at every component of the boxed set including pictures of the actual box, the sprues, bases and some very useful comparison pictures with plastic orcs of other manufacturers including Games Workshop and Mantic Games to name a few. You can find the full review here if you don’t want to miss out these new cheap plastic orcs. http://wargameterrain.blogspot.be/2014/03/shieldwolf-miniatures-plastic-mountain.html

The quality looks nice, but the giant GW scale and the overall design is a bit of a let down.  I'll be watching them for further releases though.

The overall detail is good and variety but I think they are ruined by the over the top gapping mouth heads...something more subtle would of been better. Also while they look nice individually thye look like they may struggle to come togehter as a unit.

Very GW, but very nice. Not sure about the heads.

Nice review - might I suggest since you have them in hand, so see how well a GW plastic orc head would fit?  It seems the biggest letdown of this set is the heads/huge jaws, so perhaps a head swap with a GW orc head would work well.  The scale seems consistent in the picture, it might fit well it a bit of trimming on the neck of the model.

Don't care for the look of them
I used to be with it, but then they changed what it was. Now what I'm with isn't it anymore and what is it seems weird and scary.

Thanks for all the nice comments, it seems that you either like them or dislike them because of the size and unusual heads. It the end it all comes down to personal taste.  :)

I would like to try some GW heads on them but I don't own any but if anybody has a spare head or two you may always contact me.  ;)

I really like them! Especially the monstrous heads, it just makes them look more scary and slightly unnatural in a good way. I am thinking that if painted up in a different way they make excellent demonic troopers as well.
