In the rule you use...
« on: March 17, 2014, 01:43:10 AM »
Are zombie bites/scratches/etc. always a "un-death by Zombie infection" event?  Or is there a chance you  don't become a killing machine/target?

Just wondering...

Gracias,

Glenn

In my rules, characters just take damage until they're removed. At the end of the game all of the unconscious players gotta make a roll to work out if they're still alive or not.
If you'd like an apocalyptic monster in 28mm, throw me a PM and I'll think it over.

Every time a character takes a wound there is a 50% chance they are infected. If they are infected they pass out in 3d6 turns, then they die after 1d6 turns and then become a zombie the turn after

They MAY turn to a zombie, but it isn't compulsory.

And then, there most rules contemplate that survivors can endure SEVERAL wound before going down, and only after the last wound is received, the character may (or may not) be zombified (Most rules allow for some kind of "saving roll").

Hope that helps.
I know you're too old to play with toy soldiers. So give them to me... NOW!

It's a risk in our rules but not guaranteed. It either adds to the excitement or introduces another unnecessary roll depending on your perspective!  :D

I didnt add a zombification option in my tabletop rules as I think people should be turned slowly NOT like in World War Z's 12 sexonds or whatever it was.

By the time anyone is turned in my world the battle is won or lost.

what I did do though was any wound result against a zombie gets a 1 in 6 chance of not happening to reflect the headshot needed to kill them. Any character with markmanship skill ignores this auto save ... Judge Dredd for example  :D
