28mm SWAT to scale with Empress Minis?
« on: March 21, 2014, 09:31:42 AM »
I have US Infantry from Empress minis (awesome minis!), and was looking for SWAT minis that scale well with them. Any ideas?

Hmm, I think you will struggle, Offensive do nice riot police but they are rather tall and thin. TAG are very nice but more chunky. Foundry are way too big. RAFM are big too almost 35mm

Not sure on eureka but suspect may be a bit squat

Perhaps. They just don't scream SWAT at me. I could use them for...... something else, though.

Why not simply paint some of the Empress US Army, Delta or DEVGRU figures in SWAT colours?

(The DEVGRU quadeye night vision goggles are seperate so you do not need to attach them.)

That seems like the better plan. I just want my collection to scale well with everything else.

The Tactical Miniatures (Now Armourclass) 'SWAT lite'/DEA team (guys in flack vests and bare heads) are realistic 28mm so should match up fairly well. Their CQB team (in helmets and googles) are pretty chunky though, and definitely won't.

Check the Delta pack as they are the 'cleaned up' special forces and so would probably pass as SWAT. Not that I am in expert in SWAT teams  ;)
