when this LPL is over , could we please see some more photos of those Chaos marauders? The more I look at them the more fine detail I see. Would love to see separate photos of each figure and also from different angles.

This is a really tough one.  They are both great. Decisions.  Sigh.

Very nice, both entries! I love the Germans as I'm currently painting hard on the Dark Ages period and can see that my intended LPL season 8 entry for this round certainly would have be matched up here with the "Prof" luckily the time difference and week of working nights kept me out of this LPL....  :'( fine by me as I didn't need a spanking by the Prof's Germans. lol

Prof.Witchheimer - The highlights and definition in your minis are amazing.  I like how each part of the mini is well defined, flesh, clothing, equipment, etc.  The pants are fantastic, but I particularly appreciate your work with the standard bearer's staff, as that kind of highlighting on wood is time consuming.

Nord - Generally, I don't care for blood splatter on minis because it rarely looks good.  Probably everyone put blood splatter on their first mini, further making blood splatter appear like a novice painting technique.  However, your blood splatter is mind blowing!  You did it perfectly and it actually added to the models' appearance.

Due to the amazing use of blood splatter which is difficult to execute well I think the edge goes to Nord.  It was a tough call though.

Well looks like it's time to break my brushes, through my paints away and scream to the night sky about the unfairness of life...Phenomenal paint jobs guys!  This is a tough one.

exactly how I feel, marvelous work!

Yes, it was a tough choice. Are some of the Germans conversions, by the way, including the clubman and the chap in the Roman armour?

Toughest match of the round to choose between. Very well done both.

Without a doubt, I went back and forth between these two pictures for the longest of any matchup in this round. Neither deserves to lose. Both deserve to win. LPL...you bastard! lol lol lol

Excellent Germanics Alex, love 'em. I think I'll do some for round 5  :-*

That would be great, Chris, looking forward to see them!

They are Warlord, from the tribesmen with Roman equipment set, so no conversions.

Yes LPL is a little like Christmas, and with The Great Escape on C5 last night even more so!

Excellent work here, a very tough match up for round one! The brushwork on both entries is great, and it's a tough decision here.

I think the thing that gets me is the depth and richness of the scenery though. Very immersive!

Thanks
