Hotlead 2014 has been and gone.
« on: March 24, 2014, 12:29:17 AM »
I'm only a humble minion but would like to announce that Hotlead is done for this year.  The event was a great success, lots of games, lots of gamers and lots of fun!!!  The Bring and Buy raised $1800 for charity, which if you do the math means that somewhere in the order of $18000 worth of merchandise was sold during its seven and a half hours of operation.  Thanks to everyone that attended including GMs, gamers, shoppers, observers and Red Shirts.
Check out the FB page for piccies   :D

Glad you all had a good time, well done on the b&b charity total in particular. It was a good show for me as well even though I'm thousands of miles away because the lovely Mr Moose collected some stuff for me although I must remonstrate with him - Pete - have you become so completely absorbed that you've forsaken the "s" in maths? Dear me - and you one of Her Majesty's finest in your day......😀

I'm slowly assimilating, I have to think twice now when I talk about trousers/pants, car park/parking lot, braces/suspenders(!!), math/maths.  If I talk proper, no-one understands me!!  :D

It was a great con! Again!
I would highly recommend anyone who is in the area of Stratford Ontario at the end of March to go!
And if you're not in the area - get there!

The 9th picture shows my slightly exposed Sherman M4A1 destroyed by the Panther hidden in the hedgerows past the farm house. I had waaay too much fun this year. N e chance of a bi- annual event?  lol

The guys from the Chatham area put on a great show last year in September. Any chance of that happening again?

KEGSCON will be 20 Sept this year, and there are plans afoot for another Council Fires on 4 Oct. I do hope one of those can grow into a full weekend event.

Hmmm, what are the other big wargaming events in Southern Ontario. Just the ones mentioned ITT (Kegscon?)

Is Spellstorm dead now (used to be the the big minis gaming con in Toronto proper)? I can't seem to find anything for that.

We've been thinking of doing one in Toronto, but we've been struggling with a good time to do it. We obviously don't want to do it near the other events.
