Harlequin Dwarf army in progress Update 14 July 2014
« on: March 30, 2014, 05:05:39 PM »
So we all know Mr. Adams does some cracking greenskins, but he's not shabby doing their mortal enemies the dwarves either. Start of My Dwarf army using Harlequin/Black tree designs dwarves.

comments always welcomed.

Now those COOL Old Dwarfs bring back some memories. They do look SPLENDID all ranked up & grumpy. GREAT WORK!

I'm a big fan of these and would own more if Black Tree's casting quality was better. The painjobs are great and they look good in rank! There are so many different sculpts in the range I hope you have plans for another unit with mixed arms!

Thanks, they've been fun to paint up. I have 4 or 5 16 man units with mixed weapons to paint up, 1 crossbow and 1 bow to paint up and some assorted heroes( which will include some Kev Adams Heartbreaker dwarves) The majority of these I got recently when they had a 50% off sale and the quality wasn't to bad. Just a few minutes on each with the files.

You've just attained a new level of COOL...especially the Fearless Leaders. The Vertically Challenged ones painted up SPLENDIDLY. VERY WELL DONE!

These really are WONDERFUL units of charmingly personable little characters. Your painting style enhances the minis in a an OUTSTANDING manner. VERY WELL DONE!

AND a thanks for posting on a personal level. I checked the Black Tree listing on TMP. Lo & behold they have an American branch right here in Texas...well down in Amarillo, but in Texas nonetheless. SO all those wonderful Harlequin minis haven't disappeared forever...OH BABY!

Is this guy also Black Tree designs? (The one with the chopped-off head) I don't remember seeing it, but it is way cool, and I feel quite the urge to paint one up.

The dwarves are looking really good. The Black Tree range paints up very well. I have a couple sat on my desk as well.

Yes, it's in the Harlequin section of the catalogue, not the fantasy armies section. I have one too and it's quite possibly the best dwarf in the range IMO.

Neat. Found it!.

Will definitely be picking one up. Its always great to see well-painted Harlequin miniatures, since the Black Tree site does a very poor job of showing them off, but a lot of them actually are genuinely great.
