Brilliant work!

Thanks for sharing.

Is the impact area expanding foam insulation?
If so, the foam didn't stick to the plastic wrap?

Mr.42, what a game! You absolutely nailed it. Superb fun for everyone around a really fine looking table...

That 7TV continues to impress.  ;) Glad you turned me on to it.

Thanks Peabs!  Couldn't have done it without you!  Great fun.  Lost my voice!  Kamandi, thanks for stopping by!

Amalric:  Yep...Expanding foam.  Some of the plastic did stick.  I had to keep poking holes in it to let the air get to the foam.  It would worm out of the holes then I'd just cut it off.

The basin with the remaining plastic is under the saucer.  Water proof...Dry ice:)  Next time...  Actually next time the saucer will be in a volcano...

Saucer Down! was a stand-out hit and a prime example of what a participation gaming event should be; imaginative, well executed and fun!

Gary ran his first big convention game like a pro. He got the players right into the action and kept the game rolling along. Best of all, the game ran to a satisfying conclusion in each session that Gary hosted 'Saucer Down'.

Here are a few more shots of the game. Terrible shots from my iPod. :'(

Thanks Peabody!  I think the pics are totally appropriate to the subject matter!  I had a ton of fun and a ton of help...  SOMEBODY had to pour the tea!

A good time indeed. My squad of mysterious government operatives took the alien into custody early in the game. They had nearly manhandled him off the board when they were felled by a barrage of stun grenades. Repeated!

It was good fun Gary, and a nice intro to 7TV. I plan to play more 7TV in the future.
